San Juan Cordon

San Juan Cordon is an epithermal vein system with a 1.2 km strike length. The system contains very high grades of gold and silver on or near to the surface. The system appears to be a single vein striking North/North/West with a dip of 30 degress. The site contains 5 main target areas:

Cordon

Hole 30 Area:

The Hole 30 Area has an exposed vein with a histoic working adit. There is a large flat staging area in front of the vien wall. The vein has been chip sampled with 26 g/t Au and 14.8 g/t Au. Above the vein is a road and drill platform. Several holes were drilled by US Gold. Hole 30 showed 2.37 g/t Au over an interval of 19m, including 6m of 5.56 g/t Au.

Hole 31 Area:

The Hole 31 Area has an exposed vein with a histoic working adit. There is a 100x200m flat staging area in front of the vien wall. The vein has been chip sampled with 2.71 g/t Au. Above the vein US Gold Hole 31 showed 1.12 g/t Au over an interval of 14m. Above Hole 31 is a second historical working and exposed vein which has been chip sampled at 5.14 g/t Auand 2.65 g/t Au.

Area 229

Numerous high-grade samples have been collected from the waste dump section of Area 229. These include assays of 229 g/t gold, 471 g/t silver, 63.2 g/t gold and most recently 52.9 g/t gold.

A recent trenching program has revealed that this exceptionally high-grade ore may be part may be part of a larger surface deposit. Ongoing treching continues in this area.

Hole 36 Area

Hole 36 was the site of a larger adit and drift whch was believed to have been developed in the 1950's. Several of the local prospectors have offered stories of high-grade gold production coming from this small operation. The main shaft was said to have later collapsed. At a later date US Gold began an open pit to expose this area which covered the adit entrance. bove the old mine entrance, US Gold Hole 36 showed 14.4 g/t Au over an interval of 1.5m

Upper Staging Area:

The Upper Staging Area has an exposed vein with at 100x200m flat staging area in front of the vien wall. The vein has an exposed .5m width running over 60m on surface which has been chip sampled with 2.9 g/t Au.

Peak Area

The Peak Area has an .5 x 60m exposed vein area at the peak of a ridge area. The Peak area is an ideal surface mining site as the vien has only 1m of cover in the exposed wall and the shallow slope would provide a low strip ration for open pit mining. The exposed vein has been chip sampled with 6.7 g/t Au as well as 2.9 g/t Au.
